Juvenilia is an association which aims to create a cultural union of young opera, ballet and classical music enthusiasts from all over Europe.
At the heart of Juvenilia is the desire to promote a strong community spirit among young audiences. We bring our members together through carefully curated events with affordable tickets to performances, complemented by side activities that highlight local culture, music, cuisine, and offer unique behind-the-scenes insights. This is the perfect recipe to meet likeminded people and form lasting friendships while discovering Europe’s rich and diverse cultural scene.
Requirements
Anyone who accepts our aims and statute may join Juvenilia. There is no formal age limit: while some theatres apply age thresholds (such as 30 or 35) for discounted tickets, our association is open to both younger members and those who are a bit older. Our membership is wonderfully diverse—you do not need to be an opera expert or have studied musicology. It is enough to enjoy performances, be curious about exploring other countries, and be open to meeting like-minded people.
Event Participation
Participation in our events requires membership; however, you may already express interest in events before joining and complete your membership during the registration process. You will be informed about upcoming events through our newsletter, Instagram posts, and WhatsApp. Tickets are limited, so we cannot guarantee a spot in every event. We try our best to accommodate as many Juvenilians as possible.
Association Life
Juvenilia is a vibrant and active association with events taking place throughout the year—19 in total in 2025 alone. Beyond events, we provide a platform for members to stay connected, exchange ideas, and grow as a community. We actively encourage deeper engagement through voluntary activities that benefit the association, such as participation in committees. Members who wish to take on more responsibility may also consider running for office on the Board of Directors and helping shape the future of Juvenilia.
Membership Fee & Duration
Members are required to pay an annual membership fee of €10 per calendar year, which contributes to covering the association’s operational costs. Membership is indefinite and renews automatically each calendar year. Members may withdraw from the association at any time.
